or 227,000 flood victims. i support the bill as a recovery from superstorm sandy. i believe the actions are still slow. 68 days have gone by. i know we have got commitments, but we are moving forwards and i am hopeful we will get the full entitlements the individuals from new york, new jersey, and connecticut finally need. some of the programs that need funding include engineers who work to protect new jersey's and york's shorelines. i want to thank every member of the new york, connecticut, and new jersey delegations for working collectively together to make sure our people -- because this as an issue that affects the american people -- they receive the kind of aid they need. i want to say to my friends mr. -- i have seenne they have set and work together with our governor, who i also want to give a thank you to, mario cuomo and chris christie -- working cooperatively, not as a democrat or republican, but as an elected official, to come together for people that need aid from a terrible storm. i am hopeful we will need store work -- move forward. finally the people of this region receiv

this controversy in washington, as well as hurricane sandy. there was some pretty big-waits on the economy, and yet is still continued -- weight on the economy, and yet it still continued dto churto churn ahea. every month, we have traded on average 153,000 jobs. -- created on average 153,000 jobs. host: in a country with well over 3 million americans, they're more than 12,000,002 are currently out of work. almost 5 million long-term unemployed. the discouraged worker, about 1.1 million. guest: it is good that the economy kept churning along, but it is bad the we have such a lousy economy. we believe to create something like 350,000 -- we need to create something like 350,000 jobs to get unemployment down to 6%. we're falling short every single month. it is a recovery. we were in such a deep hole that it has been really difficult to dig out of this whole. -- hole. if you're looking and reasons for optimism, you can look at this and say, good. if you're one of those 12 million people who does not have a job, this is a disappointing report because it is not stronger. it is not enough to start to job

like relief bills for hurricane sandy. congresswoman lynn jenkins posted on her facebook page. i hope congress will devise a plan to directly help sandy victims that will offset -- that will be offset with spending deductions. now, congresswoman jenkins says she's against pork. but citizens against government waste named her porker of the month in april, 2009. how did she earn the title, parker of the month? look at representative jenkins earmarks in 2010 alone. she sponsored 13 earmarks that total totalled a lot of money. so how do you're mark what would be considered pork. but because you're dealing with another party and you're dealing in states that may be blue, all of the sudden, you have concerns about pork? that is part of a relief bill. >> and this is another schism in the republican party that we're seeing more and more. the way they're treating these blue state republicans. they're driving blue state republicans out of their party. and the few that are left in are hugely mad. at the same time, they're also reintroducing a repeal of obama care. reintroducing the funding plan
